  15. Anyone got advice on THOR?

  17. I've finally, after about two weeks of playing with it, managed to get it to
  18. send e-mail & send/retrieve news (at least I think so. haven't gotten any
  19. replies as of yet). There is an obvious bug, either in THOR, or in some other
  20. software that I'm running that kept me from using THOR to read USENET offline.
  21. EVERY TIME I tried to join conferences, after getting the conference list I
  22. encountered the following error........

  27. Cause: Dos failure

  33. I figured out a workaround that kinda works (which is how I'm able to send
  34. this little jewel). I used the CONNECT TCP/IP daemon's BROWSE NEWS function,
  35. manually entered newsgroup names & imported 1 message from each conference. I
  36. still got the above error EVERY TIME I tried to join a conference, but it
  37. worked. Has anyone got an idea of what this error could be?
